About

Here at the world’s first crumble bar we are looking for a talented Barista to help us pioneer Humble Coffee.

Humble Crumble is a fast growing dessert company and by popular demand, we are expanding our offering into the world of coffee. We opened our Borough Market location in December 2022 and are looking for an experienced, passionate barista to join our ever growing team. The role is predominantly Barista work with the potential for some Front of House work. 

Any Humble Crumble team member will be working in a fast-paced but exciting role. It requires being positive, approachable person with an eye for detail. Customer service is as important as the crumbles (and coffee) we serve, so the successful applicant needs to understand what makes a meaningful customer experience.

Our ideal candidate:

Passionate about coffee (and crumble)
Kind, inclusive and confident. 
Minimum 1 year barista experience
Confident working in a fast paced environment. 
Positive and approachable. Amazing customer experience is at the heart of Humble Crumble so we need a barista who understands what makes meaningful customer service.

Desired experience:

Experience within a high-end food & beverage environment with at least 1 year of Barista experience. Passion for coffee is essential but passion for food as well is desirable. Experience with some form of teamwork i.e. sports or work experience. Working well within a team is a must!

Job Criteria:

Establish the highest level of hospitality by creating a warm, positive and clean atmosphere in the shop.
Establish a good rapport with regular customers and encourage customers to return through fantastic service.
Be responsible for cleaning, organising and maintaining the coffee station. 
Encourage and create a vibrant, exciting and sociable place of work.
Be driven by high standards.

Wage and Contract
Starting: £11.05 p/h
Bonus scheme: Quarterly performance based bonus scheme.
Full-time or Part-time contract 
Access to a range of learning and development programmes.
Opportunity for promotion and transfer across the sites as the company develops.
